Eureka Brands launches new products at SOTA
Eureka Brands successfully launched a selection from its new range of outdoor and lifestyle products at the SOTA Show (The National May Outdoor Trade Show) in Canberra, Australia held from Sunday 4th May to Tuesday 6th May. (Stand P29)
Eureka Brands, an offshoot of leading digital technology distributor Eureka Pacific allows the company to diversify its interests and leverage strengths in channel development, marketing and relationships to grow the profile of its product range in the lead up to Christmas 2008.
Managing Director Alexei Mazin said “Our high-end technology business is built on professional products for customers and integrators who rely on innovation, design and engineering. In many ways Eureka Brands occupies the same positioning and our range of products are aimed at retailers and people with a keen eye for all-things cool, well-made and properly engineered.”
Montague Corporation is the world leader in full-size performance bikes that fold and initially developed the electric Paratrooper® Mountain Bike under funding from the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to bridge an important transportation gap between parachuting, walking infantry and heavy military vehicles.
The non-electric Paratrooper® and three other models of Montague Bikes will be available in Australia for serious riders who want the convenience of folding their bike for travel, airline check-in, boating, caravanning or family outings without compromising structure and wheel size like many typical folding bikes do.
SwissBike is the high-end range manufactured by Montague with higher specs and must-have design and engineering appeal to riders wanting full size performance, folding capability and designer looks. Both SwissBike and Montague feature the patented CLIX quick release system developed by Montague and now adopted by Trek and other bike manufacturers.
Nutcase Helmets are multi-sport helmets that make wearing a helmet cool, comfortable and fun. The brainchild of former Nike executive Michael Morrow, Nutcase has taken the US and Europe by storm and is seen on US television programs like Entourage (HBO) and The Naked Brothers Band (Nickelodeon) by adults and kids alike. Available Cycle, Snow and Water ranges the helmets are known for the quality of their fit, their cool designs and names such as “Fly Boy” and “Hula Lounge” and “Punky”. For cycling, the helmets meet Australian, US and European standards and are accompanied by the slogan “I love my brain”.
“With exercise and the environment high on people’s minds, it's a good time to get raise the status again of helmet-wearing, outdoor sports and alternative transport and have fun at the same time,” said Alexei Mazin.
“Anyone with a quality car will know that using a bike rack often risks damage to the car but they also want a great bike. Anyone with kids will know getting them to wear helmets is challenging if the look and fit are terrible – as most cheap versions are. Adults are usually confined to racing helmets even if they don’t race. So, we think the Australasian market is ready for Montague, Nutcase and SwissBike.”
Eureka Brands will also seed the Swiss-made BikeBoard in Australasia, a multi-sport unit for snow, off-road, street and water use. All products will be available leading up to Spring/Summer 2008 (October) and pre-orders are currently being accepted.
